Hannah, a health care professional and educator, has been captivated by HealthForce Kentucky’s mission to expand pathways and bring advanced technology to teachers. As someone who has dedicated a significant portion of her career to inspiring students to provide life-saving and compassionate care, Hannah’s unique background makes her an ideal candidate to assist our K-12 educators in integrating immersive technology into their classrooms. Having personally experienced the challenges and limitations of traditional teaching methods, Hannah is eager to help educators transition to more hands-on experiences that enhance the learning experience for their students.

One of Hannah’s most cherished memories is donning her grandmother’s nursing uniform and cap during kindergarten career day. Inspired by her grandmother’s remarkable legacy as a nurse, Hannah developed a profound desire to make a positive impact on individuals’ lives from a young age. Her grandmother served as an exemplary figure of success that Hannah aspired to emulate. Consequently, Hannah remained steadfast in her dream of helping others.

Hannah brought her grandmother’s legacy full circle when she graduated as a registered nurse from Henderson Community College in 2010 and earned her BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University.

In 2017, Hannah obtained her teaching certification to instruct Career and Technical Education (CTE) Allied Health courses at Owensboro High School. Her clinical work experience spans medical-surgical units and home care, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of health care delivery and secondary education.

Hannah’s approach to education is immersive and innovative. She has long utilized real-life simulations to ignite students’ interest in health care careers, guiding them toward the myriad pathways available in the medical field. She is a dedicated professional with a profound commitment to education and health care.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Hannah finds joy in family life. She and her husband, Nick, are proud parents to three children. When she’s not shaping young minds or attending to patients, you can find her cheering on her kids at their extracurricular activities or unwinding by the pool.
